COME ONE, COME ALL, TO THE 2025 YELLOW JACKET HOMECOMING EXPERIENCE!!

TELL A FRIEND, TELL A NEIGHBOR AND TELL YOUR FAMILY THAT IT’S HOMECOMING, Y’ALL. COME SUPPORT YOUR YELLOWJACKET FOOTBALL TEAM TO VICTORY; ENJOY THE COLLABORATION, GOOD FOOD, LAUGHTER AND CATCH UP PEOPLE FROM ALL CLASSES!

THIS WILL BE A GREAT TIME FOR YOU TO SUPPORT REVIVING THE HIVE AND SHOW HOW YELLOWJACKETS SCHOOL SPIRIT IS ALIVE AND WELL AND THAT WE CAN’T HIDE OUR JACKET PRIDE.

THE FOOTBALL GAME WILL BEGIN PROMPTLY AT 7:00 PM.

    COME ENJOY FOOD, FAMILY AND FUN. THIS EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE BEHIND CARVER HIGH SCHOOL IN THE BUS PARKING LOT. THE GOAL FOR THE TAILGATE IS TO RAISE MONEY FOR ATHLETICS AND STUDENTS.  

    GENERAL ADMISSION TO THE TAILGATE IS $15.

    THIS INCLUDES ADMISSION TO TAILGATE AND ADMISSION TO THE FOOTBALL GAME.

    Homecoming is not complete without the annual Homecoming parade! Come enjoy the sounds of the Marching Yellow Jackets at the CHS Homecoming fan fest! Make sure to get there early to claim to cheer your team on, in the front parking lot and see the spectacular acts from the community and alumni.

  • Please note that Carver High School does not offer or endorse any package deals.

    We are NOT responsible for any class reunion, alumni band packages, including but not limited to:

    • Entry fees

    • T-shirts

    • Tailgate access

    Any such packages are organized independently and are not affiliated with Carver High School.

  • Q: Is there a bag policy? A: Yes, a clear bag policy will be enforced at all events. 

    Q: Do I need a ticket to enter parking or tailgating areas? A: Yes. Only ticket holders are permitted in parking lots and tailgating areas. 

    Q: What do I need to access the tailgating area? A: You must have the appropriate wristband issued prior to the event. Each tailgating space includes 10 wristbands. Additional guests must purchase entry for $15. 

  • Q: Where is tailgating allowed? A: Tailgating is only permitted in designated spaces

    Q: Can I save a tailgating spot for friends? A: No. Spaces cannot be reserved or held. Groups must coordinate and purchase spaces together in advance. 

    Q: Are vehicles allowed in tailgating spaces? A: Only one vehicle per space is allowed for setup and breakdown. No additional vehicles are permitted in tailgating areas. 

    Q: When can I start and end tailgating? A: 

    • Tailgating begins when lots open the morning of the game (subject to change). 

    • Tailgating must end 30 minutes after the game concludes

    Q: When do parking lots close? A: Lots close one hour after the event, and all vehicles must be removed by 2:45 PMor risk towing/ticketing. 

    Q: Can I leave and re-enter the parking lot? A: No. There is no in/out parking. Re-entry requires a new fee (if space is available). 

  • Q: Where can I park? A: Only in marked parking spaces. Unauthorized vehicles will be towed immediately. 

    Q: How many cars are allowed per tailgating space? A: One car per space. Each space receives one parking pass

  • Q: What type of grills are allowed? A: Only: 

    • State-approved gas/propane grills with shut-off valves 

    • Self-contained charcoal grills 

    Q: Are open flames or wood fires allowed? A: No. Open flames and wood fires are strictly prohibited by order of the Fire Marshal. 

    Q: What should I do with charcoal after use? A: All charcoal must be removed from campus. Dumping is not allowed. 

  • Q: Are there restrictions on behavior? A: Yes. All activities must follow the law and must not interfere with others’ enjoyment. 

    Q: Is alcohol allowed? A: No. Consumption or possession of alcohol is prohibited

    Q: Can I sell or promote items on campus? A: No. Selling or soliciting is not permitted. 

    Q: Are motorized devices allowed? A: No. Unlicensed motorized vehicles, including hoverboards, are prohibited. 

    Q: Are face coverings allowed? A: Face coverings are not allowed, except for medical masks

    Q: Can I bring a portable restroom? A: No. Personal portable restrooms are not permitted. 

  • Q: Can I dump liquids or waste on the ground or drains? A: No. Only rainwater may enter storm drains. Dumping is illegal. 

    Q: What should I do if I see illegal dumping? A: Notify staff immediately or contact the Winston-Salem tip line. 

  • Q: What happens if I don’t clean my tailgating area? A: You may be banned from future events

TAILGATE GUIDELINES

DAVID L. LASH STADIUM 

Clear bag policy will be enforced 

1. Tailgating is permitted in only the designated spaces .

2. No trespassing: only ticketholders are permitted in parking lots. .  

3. No vehicle allowed in Tailgating space. One vehicle will be allowed to park in the designated area for Tailgating set-up and removal of all personal items. There will be one Parking sticker provided in your tailgate packet.  

4. Alumni and fans who wish to tailgate next to friends must coordinate the purchase of tailgating space early and at the same time. Parking spaces cannot be reserved or saved for alumni or fans arriving later.  

5. Tailgating activities must not interfere with parking operations or other fans’ enjoyment.  

6. Tailgating activities must end 30 minutes after the game concludes. All tailgaters must clean their space(s) and exit the campus, or you may be banned from future events at Carver High School discretion.  

7. There is no in/out parking. If a patron leaves the lot, there is a full charge for re-entry (if space is available).  

8. Early entry into the parking lots for tailgating is permitted. Lots open the morning of the game (subject to change).  

9. Parking is allowed in marked spaces only. Vehicles parked unlawfully will be towed immediately. Parking passes will be given to one car per spot.  

10. Only state-approved gas/propane units with fuel-valve turn-offs and self-contained-charcoal units are permitted. No open flames or wood fires are permitted by order of the Fire Marshal.  

11. All charcoal must be removed from campus. Dumping of charcoal on CHS campus is not permitted.  

12. Parking lots close one hour after the game/event concludes. All vehicles must be removed by 2:45 pm. Violators will be ticketed/towed at the owner’s expense.  

13. No selling or soliciting is allowed on Carver High School campus.  

14. Unlicensed motorized vehicles are prohibited, including hover boards.  

15. Carver High School reserves the right to refuse any vehicle entry into CHS parking lots, if necessary.  

16. All tailgate activities must be conducted in strict accordance with the law. No consumption or procession drinking is prohibited.  

17. Carver High School reserves the right to end tailgate activities and to revoke game tickets, if necessary.  

18. Guests are not permitted to transport their own portable restrooms on to Carver High School.  

19. Illicit discharge into storm sewer drains is illegal; only rainwater and runoff can go into the storm sewer drains in the surrounding parking lots of Carver High School.  

20. If you witness unlawful dumping, please notify CHS parking lot staff immediately or call the Winston-Salem tip-line. Please help us preserve our natural resources in Winston-Salem.  

21. You will NOT be allowed into tailgating without the appropriate wristband given to you before the event.

22. FACE COVERINGS ARE PROHIBITED IN THE GAME/TAILGATE AREA. (Only medical mask are allowed.)

23. Please clean up your area before leaving! 

*Feel free to use our CHS Eventbrite site. Each tailgating slot receives 10 wristbands for entry. All others MUST purchase from CHS at the cost of $15 for entry to tailgating and the game.
